Grandma & Papa Visit

My Mom & Dad came to CO to visit last month. It is always a much anticipated event when they come to town - the kids count down the days for at least a month! We had a really nice visit - the weather was really beautiful and cooperative. (Not too cold). It was good timing - they were able to be here for Kennedy's first birthday party to celebrate with us.

Since my parents won't see Maddie on her birthday, she got her b-day gifts early. These shoes were a part of that gift and she loves them! (And Mom - the stitching in this pair is holding up quite nicely). Maddie wears them a lot!
We drove to Estes Park on Saturday of their visit hoping to see lots of fall leaves and elk (it was mating season). We did see one group of elk with 1 male and 10 or so females. My dad was brave (or was he crazy?) to s-l-o-w-l-y inch his way up to this female. We did get to hear some bugleing (not sure how to spell that one) from the male in this group and that was cool.

Thank you Mom and Dad for a great visit. Thank you for all the trips to Babies R Us to find a perfect baby gate for the stairs! It is holding up nicely and we've gotten so used to it, it's no big deal at all any more. We are looking forward to our visit to Cali next month! We love you!!
