Summer update #2 (June still)

About a week after our trip to Cali, Danny and I took the kids to Keystone to stay in a house that belongs to my Aunt Joyce and Uncle Bill. We invited Grammy, the Lopez family, and the Kaali-Nagy family to join us for a couple of days. We had such a good time with everyone. The house was beautiful and had plenty of room for all of us to stretch out and relax. The weather was really cooperative. It was warm in the days and cool at night. It did rain a couple of times in early evenings, but such is weather in CO. A favorite activity of the kids was going up to feed the chipmunks in this really beautiful area that overlooked the lake. There were tons of little chipmunks and they would come and eat right out of the kids hands! They got a kick out of that. Althought Bailey kept calling them "monkeys" and wasn't too sure about them if they got too close to her. Once all our friends and family left, we went to a local indoor pool for the day (which the kids loved - even K - our water baby).

Danny took M&J for a hike, we hunted for golf balls, went "swimming" in the jacuzzi, ate lots of
yummy junk food, watched movies, and just played together. The picture above is the view from the deck in the back of the house.

After a week in Keystone, we went straight to Fairplay for a 2 night worship team retreat. The Powells have a great house up there with lots of toys (ATV's, motorcycles) to play with. The Kakac family also brought up their toys too. It was so fun. Once Danny and I took M&J out on the ATV's and got lost for about an hour (he would tell this story differently, but I KNOW we were lost) - all the dirt roads look the same there and it's easy to get lost in my opinion. It was really fun to hang out with the families that were there - a little wild with all the kiddos. Besides my 3 there were 3 more ages 2, 3, and 4(ish). Blessings to the Powell family for putting up with all of us!
