A visit with Grandma!

My Mom came to visit (Dad was supposed to come to, but wasn't feeling well) in May. We had a wonderful week together - it went too fast. As luck would have it Jackson had his last day of preschool during that week and my Mom came with me to his "graduation" party. It was very low key - they sang a few songs, we played a game, and ate ice cream. But it was really special to have Grandma there for that!




We took my Mom to Red Rocks to check out the amazing views. But we cheated and drove to the top this time!










I couldn't figure out how to get this next picture to turn, but I really liked it so I went with it. Just tip your head to the side.
This was at Bellview park where the kids spent some time playing in the creek there.












Near the end of the week, my Mom and I took Maddie to a pottery shop so they could paint something together (Jack was at friend's birthday party). After much deliberation (and some coaxing on my part) we chose a bowl to paint. I must say it turned out pretty cute. Maddie was the designer for the whole thing and my Mom helped with the painting. The inside was painted pink with black dots ("seeds") with a green rim - to resemble a watermelon =)
